One All-Inclusive Transport Price

The Transport line on your quote covers everything it takes to move your RV — equipment, driver, insurance, and fuel. There is no separate fuel surcharge and no broker in the middle.

Minimum — GVWR under 10,000 lbs GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) is the maximum loaded weight your trailer is rated to carry — set by the manufacturer, not your current cargo.

Short local moves are billed at the minimum for your trailer's weight. Longer moves are priced from the actual cost of the route (see below). Either way, the minimum is the floor.

How Much Does RV Transport Cost?

Plain-English answers to the questions we get most often.

How we build your Transport price

Instead of a blended per-mile rate, we build each quote from the ground up, from the numbers that actually drive the cost of your move:

  • Fuel — diesel for the loaded miles with your RV, plus the empty miles we drive to reach you and to get home. Priced from the current U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) national average retail diesel price for the week of your move.
  • Operating cost — a per-mile figure for tires, maintenance, insurance, and registration across the whole route.
  • Our time — an hourly rate for the hours behind the wheel and the hours spent inspecting, loading, and securing your RV.
  • A small business margin is applied to the fuel and operating costs (it covers card-processing fees and overhead) — never to our labor.

Add those together and you get the Transport line: one all-inclusive number covering equipment, driver, insurance, and fuel. If that number comes out below the minimum for your trailer's weight ($350 or $450), the minimum applies instead.

No fuel surcharge

Because current EIA diesel prices are already built into the Transport line, there is no separate fuel-surcharge line to decode. When diesel moves, the fuel portion of your quote moves with it — but it's always folded into one price, not tacked on afterward as a percentage.

Other lines you might see

  • Overnight surcharge — multi-day moves add a flat nightly amount that offsets meals, lodging, and time away from home.
  • State permits — some interstate routes require a transport permit. When they do, it's billed per state at a fixed rate and shown as its own line.
  • Tolls — the driver avoids toll roads where feasible. If a route genuinely needs one, it appears as a separate line, never buried in the Transport price.

Every one of these is spelled out separately in your quote before you commit to anything.

Deposit & payment

A 50% deposit books your date; the balance is due on delivery. Quotes are valid for 7 days. We are a direct carrier — the price you see is what we charge, with no broker adding a margin on top of what the driver gets paid.
